Rahasya Shortfilm Intro
Concept & Objective
The director, Mayur Ambekar, envisioned an intro for his suspense-thriller short film Rahasya that would set the tone for the story. The idea was to showcase the actors in a wary, uneasy light, layered with an eerie sense of atmosphere, while gradually building tension. The objective was to immerse viewers into the suspenseful mood right from the beginning.
Pre-production
- Understood the director’s vision and mood references for thriller genre intros.
- Developed concept boards with eerie visuals, abstract textures, and cinematic typography.
- Planned actor reveals with framing and timing to amplify the sense of wariness.
- Created a storyboard focusing on pacing, gradual buildup, and suspense-driven transitions.
Production
- Layered motion graphics and visual effects (shadows, flickers, overlays) to enhance the eerie tone.
- Designed typography with suspenseful aesthetics (minimal, sharp, and unsettling).
Post-production
- Applied cinematic color grading to intensify the thriller mood.
- Adjusted pacing and visual rhythm to steadily build tension before the film begins.
