Rahasya Shortfilm Intro

Concept & Objective

The director, Mayur Ambekar, envisioned an intro for his suspense-thriller short film Rahasya that would set the tone for the story. The idea was to showcase the actors in a wary, uneasy light, layered with an eerie sense of atmosphere, while gradually building tension. The objective was to immerse viewers into the suspenseful mood right from the beginning.

Pre-production

  • Understood the director’s vision and mood references for thriller genre intros.
  • Developed concept boards with eerie visuals, abstract textures, and cinematic typography.
  • Planned actor reveals with framing and timing to amplify the sense of wariness.
  • Created a storyboard focusing on pacing, gradual buildup, and suspense-driven transitions.

Production

  • Layered motion graphics and visual effects (shadows, flickers, overlays) to enhance the eerie tone.
  • Designed typography with suspenseful aesthetics (minimal, sharp, and unsettling).

Post-production

  • Applied cinematic color grading to intensify the thriller mood.
  • Adjusted pacing and visual rhythm to steadily build tension before the film begins.
